When Fabindia launched their e-commerce portal, Lumos designed the initial site and worked on building the online brand for two years.
To reflect the ethos of the brand’s physical stores, a design vocabulary for the online version was developed using bold colours and traditional patterns drawn from the variety of Indian crafts that Fabindia showcases. Palettes for the main categories were colour-coded to reflect the rich diversity of each product category.
The site attracted a large number of domestic and international customers. It allowed them access to Fabindia's unique range of products rooted in a strong Indian aesthetic of craft traditions.
